Design Priciple

The terrestrial digital television single frequency network refers to a wireless digital television transmitter in synchronous state from multiple different locations, transmitting the same program at the same time and frequency to achieve reliable coverage of a certain service area. Its requirements are: frequency synchronization, time synchronization, and bit synchronization. Two necessary conditions are a unified program source and a unified reference clock source. The terrestrial digital television single frequency network, abbreviated as DTV SFN. The following diagram shows the main working principle.

Design Principle

FM radio synchronization network refers to multiple FM radio transmitters on the same frequency broadcasting the same program content simultaneously at different transmitter addresses, in order to expand the coverage of broadcasting. The FM synchronous network is commonly referred to as SFN, and its main technical features are described below.

FM SFN Definition: FM SFN means which several( more than two) transmitters broadcast play the same programme on the same frequency as the same time. Technical requirements: 1) the same program. 2)the same frequency . 3)at the same time.

Design Principle

Considering the limited space in the transmission station room or the restricted space in the antenna installation tower, as well as the cost of configuring antennas separately for each transmitter, we suggest adopting a transmitter installation plan with one cabinet and multiple machines. We can install multiple transmitters with different powers and frequencies in one transmitter cabinet, and the transmitter output can be connected to a separate antenna or shared by a multiplexer with one antenna output.
For multiple transmitters with high power output, if the output power is greater than 1KW and the single cabinet is too large to integrate into one cabinet, a solution of multiple devices sharing one antenna output can be adopted.

Design Principle

The N+1 transmitter solution mainly considers a one backup multiple solution for secure and uninterrupted broadcasting. The main design principle is to use one backup machine as a backup for multiple transmitters, requiring the backup machine to have a full broadband frequency design that can cover all operating frequencies of N main transmitters. The advantage is that having multiple backups can save on capital investment and space occupation. The N+1 main and backup machine scheme requires the use of multiple stream switching distributors, coaxial switches, and N+1 automatic switching devices to ensure that in the event of a host failure, the backup machine can automatically switch to the corresponding frequency host for operation.
